Ground Rules
Set Ground Rules.
They can be mutable further down the track,
but for now make them firm. Unshakeable.
Make them declamatory. But not rageous.
Make them unambiguous.
Cast iron skeletally strong.
Do not equivocate.
Lay your Rules out with clarity
and compassion.
So that if a stranger stumbled upon them long after your death
she could pick up your practice
where you had slipped from it
away
into that soft silence.
